Welcome to Miami

Hi Everyone,
It has been awhile since we have blogged. We hope you have not missed us to much. :) :)
A few things have been going on since our last blog. Janice and Geoff went down to Carbondale, IL in December so Janice could defend her thesis. The last big thing to get her Masters degree in Zoology. Now they will have her jump through 10 or maybe a 100 smaller hoops and then she will be done. YEA!!!! YAHOO!!!!!
In November Janice left Geoff for a week for a trip to Miami, FL for the annual Wildlife Society Conference. The main reason for going was to present her findings on the research she had done. And then answer questions from her peers. She also got to see some of the work other biologist in the US are doing. Janice not being a city girl was happy to come home. Molly, Pico and Geoff were all very glad to have her home too. She did get to do some fun things like see some great birds in the Everglades and around the conference center.
Here are some black headed vultures in the parking lot.

Here is Janice trying to make friends.

Here are some alligators Janice saw while canoing with some friends. The size of them surprised Geoff.

Here are a few of the birds Janice saw.

Here is another Gator they saw while walking on a foot trail.

Here is Pico doing one his most favorite things in the world. Watching the squirrels out the window.

We hope you all have a great Winter Solstice and a happy New Year.

Peace and Love,
Geoff and Janice
