Fun Past and Present
Hi All,
I have had a wonderful last couple of weeks. Last week was Halloween and we had a day of dress up. As you can see I make a very sexy women. Come on, you can say it. I'm hot.
This is our whole staff in full dress.
This is me with one of our students.
It was a good time. The students had a lot of fun, as did the staff. It is so cool watching the students reactions to all of us. It so helps build relationships and lets them see us as humans.
After school on Halloween I headed down to see Janice in S Ill. We headed over to Jackson Falls on Friday to climb that day, camp out and then climb on Saturday. It was a great time. Janice lead her first climb and ended up leading four different climbs. She lead three 5.8s and one 5.6. The 5.6 was harder then at least one of the 5.8s. I am so happy I got to be there for that. I am lame and I was belaying for her but there are no pictures. I also got to belay Ryan on his first lead climb. That is two more lead climbing virgins for me for those who are keeping count. :) :)
But Janice did get some of me (thank you Janice) onsiting my first 5.11a. I was so geeked. I also climbed my first 5.12a on top rope. I had one hang and one fall. I did not feel in that great of shape but was able to do these two things plus climb about 16 climbs in two days. Even at 40 I am still making progress in my climbing. It is so cool.
The next picture was sent to me by my friend Kevin Penny and is of most of my high school class, the class of 1985, wow. This is at our senior dinner just before graduation. I can not remember his last name but Chris drove his tractor to the dinner. For some reason we all thought that was pretty cool. Can you find me?
This next one is of the two Kevins and me. Look how young we look. I have not seen Kevin Lane in a long time but just saw a recent picture and he has a lot less hair, as does Kevin Penny. I have more growing off the back of my head and less on the front. Times they do a change. Thanks again for the pictures Kevin.
I hope this finds everyone doing well.
Peace,
Geoff
