Climbing

Hi All,
With all the excitement of the wedding and honeymoon I have not posted any climbing pictures. I did do a little this year as I was enjoying my honeymoon without my wife, as my neighbor teases me about. I did not get nearly as much as last year but enough to get me thru until next time.

The first place I went was with Ben just before his wedding to Amanda. The place is called Lemon. It is one of those places you would not normally find, more of a local hang out. We did not have much time so we only got on two routes. The first was a 5.11a. Way fun and blank, as you can see.

This is Ben working thru the crux and making it look easy I might add.

I did make it up but with a few falls.

This next climb I think a 5.11c. I did not make it to the top of this one but I can't wait to try again. The climb is really long for the sport routes I have been on. I have a 60 meter rope and it was not long enough to lower off or top rope on. The belayer had to climb up to a ledge to belay.

This is me at the first crux. Trying to pull thru the blank section just past the crack.

This is Ben sitting on a ledge about 2/3rds of the way up.

Pico looking on.

This is Ben and I on the same ledge Ben was sitting on earlier.

This is one of the many beautiful views at Lemon.

The next place I got to climb was in Eldorado Canyon outside of Boulder, CO.

This is me doing a little bouldering.

A few days later John, John's friend Scott and I went back to Eldo and climbed Bastile Crack. This is a five pitch climb.

These next two are of Scott near the top of pitch one with me belaying from above.

This is Scott and I at the anchor of pitch number one.

This is all of us at the top.

This next video is of John playing with Katie the wonder dog. We all believe she makes a big splash just because she likes to.

This is a little hike we did up to Lost Lake. We did it last year too. It is just beautiful.

I am now back in Manistee doing some work with our house and getting to hand out with my beautiful wife.

Peace and Love,
Geoff
