Living in Kingman

Hi All,
It has been a long time. Geoff is finally in Kingman. It was a long trip driving the rental truck from Manistee, pulling Janice's car on a trailer. The last day was a epic 18 hour drive day. He was so happy to see Janice and the beautiful house we will be staying in.
We are all unpacked and settling in very nicely.

Here are some pictures of a female humming bird that ran into our window. Geoff thought it was dead. When he started to pick it up to dispose of the body she started blinking and sticking her tongue out. Geoff propped her up on his hand and she sat there for about 2 or 3 minutes and then flew off.

There will be more pictures of our hiking trip to the Hualapai Mountains and the over night Boys and Girls Club trip later.

We hope everyone is well.

Peace and Love,
Geoff and Janice.

You're biologists - which species is it? I'm thinking black-chinned. She's not white enough underneath to be Anna's, Costa's, or broad-tailed, but female black-chins usually have a whiter chin.

Wow. Beautiful. I am envious! I would LOVE to have a hummingbird rest in my hand. Glad you made it safe and sound.

It is hard to tell what species it is. The female black-chinned and ruby-throated are so similar. We have been trying to figure out how to tell the differences since we got here
